The Burj Khalifa Tower Project, Dubai (UAE)

The Challenge

Cooper and Turner were tasked to produce and supply a range of heavy series 10.9 fasteners to which a protective coating could be applied.

The Solution

• A number of tests on sherardized coatings were carried out to confirm that the strength of the bolt was not adversely affected.
• The appearance of the coated and uncoated bolts were almost identical – just enough difference to distinguish them apart.
• The products were then identified, packed seperately and supplied from the UK to Dubai.
