Our Commitment to Quality

Product quality is of paramount importance to Cooper and Turner and MBW. Many of the fasteners that the company manufacture and supply are safety critical and must function in the most testing of environments.

Controls are rigid and because the majority of fasteners are manufactured ‘in-house’, the highest standards and specifications can be guaranteed.

Those fasteners that are manufactured elsewhere are rigorously audited throughout their manufacturing processes and systems. Further testing is carried out at the goods receipt stage at the ‘in-house’ testing facility for compliance with order instructions. All suppliers are regularly monitored to ensure that the same high standards are maintained.

Working Towards a Zero Defect Culture

The Group operates a robust, controlled quality system maintaining traceability of products from their initial source of supply, into stock, right through to despatch to the customer.

To assist in this, the group boasts a comprehensive range of state of the art testing equipment that includes:

Tensile testing machine 3,000 kN capacity, capable of testing a full size bolt up to M64 – 10.9.
Torque 'V' tension testing equipment capable of testing bolts upto M64.
We now have a fully functional Charpy Impact Testing Machine at the Sheffield site, this means virtually 100% of testing will now be done in-house.
